We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Abolish the practice of using the Electoral College to determine the next President of the United States.

Created by J.C. on November 10, 2016

By allowing a select group of individuals to choose our next President, rather than adhering to the actual votes cast by our citizens, we are disenfranchising democracy and allowing unpopular candidates to take office against the wishes of the citizens of our country. Instead, by using the same direct voting practice we use to elect senators, representatives, and just about every other seat of government, we make the process easier to understand for voters, ensure the results are fair, and allow each vote cast to represent its citizen the way it should.
