Abolish the Presidential Debate Commission.

Created by B.A. on March 29, 2014

The Presidential Debate Commission exists to ban third-party, and independent presidential candidates from taking part in the national televised debates. This eliminates the voice of the people in deciding who should be the next president. The current rule the Presidential Debate Commission has set is, that the presidential candidate must have at least 15% support across five national polls. The issue with that is without being televised it is difficult for independents and third party candidates to get that 15%. A alternative would be if an independent or a third-party candidate meets qualifications to be president under the Constitution, and has ballot access on the majority of states, that person should be allowed to participate in the national televised presidential debates.
