abolish the privatization of prisons. No corporation should profit from people going to prison. No more slave labor.

Privatizing prisons has had a detrimental affect in this country. It has increased our countrys prison population. It has increased the use of legal slave labor for private profits. This has led to a reduction in jobs for law-abiding citizens who require being paid more then prison inmates. Private prisons have led to minimum sentance requirements for non-violent offenders(easy inmates), which can force the release of violent offenders. Also, the cost-benefits promised by the corporations have not come to fruition. And to put it quite simply if the private prison industry continues to grow they will need to create more laws to incarcerate more people for more profits. It is one of the slipperiest slopes in this country.
