There should be a property rights amendment to the Federal Constitution that would officially make property taxes Unconstitutional. An amendment similar to the 10th amendment making one's own land sovereign in a similar way to that of the States. Restrict the over-regulation and control localities have over one's land. Nobody owns their land if the government can take it away from them for whatever reason. If the Federal government can’t confiscate a State then the State, County, or Municipality shouldn’t be able to confiscate a person's home. And giving them money for it doesn’t count either when they are being evicted against their will. In a free society the people own the land and the government as well.
