The selective service was established during the cold war, during a time where we didn't recognize full human rights. But is it fair that we oppress our younger generation to have to live in fear of another draft? Not to mention that its sexist.. Why don't women have to sign up? They're equal, so its basically saying that men are lower than women. This is an unfair law and a restriction of freedom and a way of oppression. We are the people, and we shouldn't have to give our lives to anything if we don't want to! Even though its not a direct draft, the mere concept of it is disgusting!
