The senate is an archaic institution that gives disproportionate power to voters in small states with relatively few people. In the senate, a voter in Wyoming has over sixty times more voting power than a voter in California.
The senate could be reformed so that each senator represents 1% of the population and continues to have a six year term.
US Senate needs to be abolished or reformed to better represent people and uphold the constitutional ideal of equality for all men and women.
