Speed doesn't kill people. Inability of people to drive at high speed kills people. As a speed enthusiast, speed limit treads on my freedom to drive the way I want and I petition that all speed limits be abolished. And the only way to stop a bad driver speeding through crowded streets is for a good driver to speed through crowded streets and side-swipe him. Since in works in TV and movies, I am confident the good driver will not hit any innocent pedestrian or other cars. (Hey, this logic apparently works for some other issues...)
