We desire that the US gov't abolish the practice of shifting clocks by an hour twice per year. The change in clock times disrupts sleep cycles, leading to productivity issues and mental stress for a period of time after the shifts.
What if the United States stayed on daylight savings time, "summer time", all year?
In the Winter we would be able to get out of work or school and still have daylight to do things. There would be less people suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder. Overall less electricity would be used, with more daylight for natural lighting in the evenings, which means less lights on in the house, on the streets, and in the parking lots when you leave your job.
Please abolish "standard time" and stay on "daylight savings time" DST year round in the United States.
