Abolish state unemployment over-payments and fines during these hard economic times.

Created by M.D. on September 27, 2011

To help people recover and stimulate the economy the state system enforced by the federal system should abolish the unemployment overpayment and the 30% fines associated with the over payments.

People who have been unemployed or underemployed for long periods of time, have relied on unemployment benefits and have fallen behind in basic living needs such as rent, mortgage payments, bills for basic needs like heating, electricity, food etc. In order for people to catch up they have needed to collect unemployment while working thus resulting in unemployment over payments and over baring fines of 30% and sometimes even arrest.

President Obama should waive these fees and fines so people can become more financially secure during these tough times. Repeal over payments and fines to help people
