My home was recently broken into and we had a bunch of electronics stolen. See, the problem is that I know for a fact that the companies can indeed track the property that was stolen, but they will not. They are not legally allowed is all the crap I have been hearing. Only problem with that little stipulation is the fact that they are technically aiding a criminal and helping him get away with the crime by choosing not to help. Of course they say to go to the cops, and we did, but as most of us know, that is a lost cause. We need to get this stupid law taken away. It should not be illegal to track STOLEN property, especially when you have the serial numbers and everything for it. It obviously isn't entrapment either, the person already committed the crime.
