Abolish the tax on tuition reimbursement

Tuition reimbursement is a great benefit offered by some employers to help its workforce learn new skills and earn higher wages. School tuition costs are not governed or regulated in any way and the imposed tax limit of $5,250 per year untaxed is hit fairly quickly for students trying to earn his or her degree. If an employer aka job creator, is willing to offer this benefit and allow individuals to earn higher salaries because of it, the tax is only a burden to the student. If I am able to earn higher wages, I pay higher taxes, I buy more things and more money ends up in the economy. I understand that the the option of getting a portion of my education paid for is a benefit and that it saves me money, it seems counterproductive to tax me on it.
