We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Abolish Thanksgiving As National Holiday

Created by J.B. on November 01, 2016

Over the last couple of decades, Christmas had become an over-commercialized holiday that is no longer about the birth of Jesus Christ. It's about shopping. In their efforts to get the masses out shopping for Christmas and spending their money, mainstream media (in concert with big business) has started shoving Christmas down our throats earlier and earlier each year. Christmas displays and decorations are now seen in stores as early as August and Christmas music now starts on radio stations shortly after Halloween. Apparently, Thanksgiving isn't deserving of its own season anymore and, therefore, should no longer be a National holiday. Additionally, it would save the government millions to not pay employees for that day off.
