Abolish the use of dolphins, and other cetaceans such as whales and porpoises, for public entertainment.

Created by J.H. on May 11, 2014

Whereas cetaceans in general are highly intelligent and sensitive, as compared to other animals means that they should be seen as ‘non-human persons’ and as such should have their own specific rights and is morally unacceptable to keep them captive for entertainment purpose.

Therefore, the Federal Government of the United States should pass legislation that no cetacean should be held in captivity or servitude; be subject to cruel treatment; or be removed from their natural environment and to forbid the establishment, or continued operation, by any person/persons, organizations, government agencies, private or public enterprises, any and all import, capture, and/or captivity of cetacean species for commercial entertainment, private or public exhibition and interaction purposes whatsoever.
