Abolish the Windfall Elimination Provision

All affected Retirees and Disabled citizens who are about to retire or are in receipt of Social Security should petition for the abolishment/repeal of this blatantly unfair law. Congress adopted the Windfall Elimination Provision in order to ensure that government employees who don't pay Social Security taxes would end up with the same income as people who work in the private sector and do pay. The Windfall Elimination Provision was introduced during the Reagan Administration in 1983. It has incurred real though unintended hardship on many retirees who struggle daily to make ends meet including teachers; railroad workers; those entitled to a pension from their country of origin; and many others who are not Government Workers.
