Please Mr. President, sign an executive order that will immediately repeal and/or abolish the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) for all tax payers and citizens that it affects or can/will affect.
I, like thousands of other law abiding tax paying citizens, work over 30 years for the government and then retired from that job to receive a CSRS retirement benefit...BUT, I also worked, and paid social security, as a self-employed citizen and as such I have satisfied the requirement to qualify for a Social Security benefit each month when, and if, I decide to signup for a Social Security benefit.
However, my benefit will be reduced at least 60% because of WEP. This is NOT FAIR and certainly not fair to my wife after I die. PLEASE REPEAL WEP NOW.
