The word "Retard" should be abolished and removed from the english language so that it no longer has any meaning. Everyday children and adults with disabilities are referred to as "Retarded" due to not being able to complete tasks that typical children and adults can do on a daily basis. This term is not only disrespectful, it is offensive and derogatory to these individuals. As human beings, we need to be respectful of each other and especially those with special needs. I am asking for your signature to remove this hateful word not only from everyday use, but from society as a whole and from the english language so that it no longer has any meaning. It is time that we start acting like human beings and take action.
