Every year the government supplies, grows, and distributes medicinal marijuana from a continued study from the University of Mississippi. Is it not contradictory to have such a governmental program yet harass cannabis use? Three things: 1) Cannabis should be legalized due to its innumerable health benefits, association with non-violence, and for more sustainable paper and clothing production 2) Cannabis production should be increased to make better quality, sustainable paper 3) The American Forest and Paper Association should be forced to drastically reduce the amount of healthy trees that go towards paper production from our own National Parks. Cannabis requires less time and water to be cultivated unlike trees, and its fibers are stronger and more durable than those of other fabrics.
