The horrific shootings in Sandy Hook Elementary School are an unquestionable proof that wide access to semi-automatic assault guns by civilians produces more harm that good to our society. Based on that fact we ask to President Obama, to our Congressmen and to our Senators to put political calculations aside and do whatever is necessary to accelerate legislation to ban ownership and trade of semi-automatic assault guns such as AR-15, AK-47 derivatives, Uzi derivatives and other firearms with similar capabilities.
