The M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine are much more than firearms, they are a part of our military heritage and a symbol of the dedication we Americans have in all our endeavors. These rifles fought as hard as the men who carried them into battle, and deserve to be brought back home to veterans and collectors who will care for them, cherish them, and tell their story to future generations.
For now, the M1 Garands have been accepted, but that is not yet set in stone, and the M1 Carbines are being rejected due to their "high capacity magazines"
This petition's goal is to see to it that ALL of these historic artifacts make it back home to the United States, not only simply to bring them home where they belong, but also to help our ally, South Korea, raise funds for their own military.
