Out of all the fiery petitions I have seen against the response of legalizing marijuana people have seemed to miss an important part.
The government wastes "$9 billion on enforcing drug use laws" How about you legalize marijuana and cut this irrelevant spending from our budget. Considering we are in a ridiculous amount of debt.
Also, I believe they should put together a team of DOCTORS not FDA agents so they may recognize the benefits from medicinal marijuana. Not to mention that if industrial hemp was legalized we would have way stronger materials and we wouldn't have to cut down all of these trees. For the same sq footage of 25 year old trees we can produce the same amount of paper if we had the same sq footage of 9 month old hemp plants.
