Calling on the Obama Administration to remove the finding of suicide from the death certificate of Yemeni Poet Adnan Latif, who died at Guananamo in 2012 after ten years in illegal captivity, and after having been found by the U.S. Judicial system to be eligible for immediate release three times during his incarceration.
Adding insult to the cruel and unusual human rights abuses Adnan Latif suffered at American hands by calling his death a suicide betrays, further, the ugly turn away from justice that America has taken under the Bush and Obama administrations. Changing his cause of death would be one small, honorable step in what has been and continues to be a shameful, vicious and dishonorable conduct by the U.S. Government.
