Accept Sophie Kincaid's application for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

Created by R.D. on March 22, 2013

Some of the requirements state that you either (a) entered the country illegally before 6-15-12, or (b) were in the country and out of status on 6-15-12.

Sophie's entire family came into the country legally, so that counts her out for (a). She had a work visa from 7-28-11 to 7-28-12. It expired 1 month too late. Her siblings both applied and were accepted because they were illegal the whole time, so they qualified for requirement (b). Now she is the only member of her family who cannot work here.

She was essentially denied because she willingly contributed to betterment of society by being a productive member of the country. She has every quality an ideal US citizen would have: she is law-abiding, college educated, and she gives back to her community. Let's give back to her.
