Civilians in America who want to become a part of the military are being turned away for the sake of a very fixable problem. According to http://www.celiaccentral.org/celiac-disease/facts-and-figures/ over 2 MILLION Americans have Celiac Disease, and around 83% of Americans who have it have been misdiagnosed. Doctors have yet to cure the gluten allergy. Because of this allergy, many potential soldiers have been turned away, but there is a solution: make gluten free food at boot camp. This should not be hard to do. What people struggle with is eating gluten free in the field. Many MRE's are already gluten-free, if they mark the gluten-free MRE's officially gluten-free, what cost is that? You have thousands more healthy soldiers and ten more letters on a bag.
