Time and again, the citizens, and their government leaders, of the state of Texas have expressed their desire to secede from the United States of America. In the latest incident, the Governor of the state of Texas has mobilized the state National Guard to be ready to fend off an attack by the United States of America on the state of Texas.
If the state of Texas wants to secede, the other 49 states and the Federal Government should not stand in their way. In fact, we should all band together, as a more perfect union, to encourage and assist the state of Texas in their secession efforts.
For the United States of America, the secession of Texas would go a long way to easing the budget deficits faced by our country because Texas receives more federal aid than they pay in taxes.
