The situation in North Korea is very dangerous. Kim Jong Un cannot be assumed to be rational. Based on the recent history of N.K. and that Un was raised, and rules, within a bubble of completely irrational belief in his own infallibility and the strength of the N.K. military, we must assume that his recent threats are real. This is not Iraq. Un has made several direct threats to us and our allies and has declared the armistice invalid, placing us in a legal state of war. Every day that we wait to act is another day that Un has to prepare his forces. While Un is clearly misguided in believing he could win a war with the U.S., his military could inflict massive injury to our allies and forces in the region. The sooner we act, the more we can limit casualties on both sides.
