Accountability in Congress

The members of Congress are among those responsible for keeping the government running. When they fail, progress is not made, and government shutdown can occur. To prevent this, I propose the following as a start:
1. Members of Congress forfeit all vacation days, as well as weekends, during the shutdown.
2. Members of Congress will donate their salaries to charity during the shutdown.
3. More limits on contributions and lobbying efforts by large companies to promote common sense and unbiased decisions in Congress.
