Germany set "a target of generating 20% of the nation’s electricity from renewable sources and got there 10 years ahead of schedule in 2010" (http://beyondzeroemissions.org/media/newswire/why-germany-should-aim-200...) if Germany can do it, why can't we?
The USA needs to be a leader in this industry. It would put us at the front of the world as leading a new earth and also create new industries that would plant jobs back home. The positive repercussions of this are exponential.
