Acknowledge the 20 teachers in Atlanta & provide assistance in reducing their charges.

Created by G.G. on April 09, 2015

This petition is to bring light to the issue of the 20 teachers in Atlanta who are currently facing racketeering charges & could be facing a maximum of 20 years. These teachers have be charged with cheating on standardized test by helping students get better results than they earned. This only occurred because of the unrealistic expectations placed on our teachers, the thought that a standardized test determines a teachers advancement & employment is absurd. Although I disagree with cheating on test, I do not agree with the punishment of 20 years in prison. Our teachers in the U.S are consistently having their wages cut, benefits reduced or removed & the career of teaching is becoming less appealing. I encourage you all to sign this petition & reduce the punishment to termination instead.
