Many Americans feel that the major, two-party system has been hijacked by extremists that not only seek to cater to their financially backed special interests but also seek to prevent any civil and rational discussion regarding the major issues plaguing our society. The Moderate Party would purposely be comprised of individuals with varying political views seeking viable solutions in a unified voice. The Moderate Party's first and foremost goal would be to address problems such as mental health and fiscal reform to name a few American issues in need of logical reflection. The Moderate Party would also act as a safe haven for former Democrats or Republicans who may feel their party no longer reflects their values or the American people's values.
