Acknowledge an assault rifle wasnt used at Sandy Hook and thus removing this as a catalyst for a ban on similar weapons.

In the wake of the Sandy Hook incident, assault style weapons were blamed as the instigating force behind these shootings and now, these weapons have been included in a piece of legislation that bans their ownership. In fact, an "assault rifle" styled weapon was never used, yet the current administration uses this instance to further "Common Sense" gun reform. "Common Sense," shows us these weapons cause us barely any more harm than blunt objects, according to B.J.S. (Bureau of Justice Statistics) at least. The perpetrators listed within the "Now is the Time" incidents are documented to have mental instability and, once again, through "Common Sense" we ask that the administration focus on the true weapon of choice in these incidents, mental health. Now is the time for real "Common Sense!"
