Acknowledge that the Columbine High Massacre Took Place in the middle of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994!

Created by J.L. on September 24, 2013

New "gun control" initiatives, and a renewed Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) will not prevent massacres. They will only serve to further restrict the Constitutionally-protected liberties of law-abiding citizens.

On April 20th, 1999, Columbine High School was attacked by two students, resulting in the deaths of 15 people (including the perpetrators), with 21 non-fatal injuries as well. The Federal AWB of 1994 did nothing to help any of these victims, despite having been passed five years prior to this massacre. New legislation will be equally ineffective. Should new legislation be passed, the weapons and nature of future massacres (as they will continue as long as we fail to address the mental health issue plaguing our society) will only change: the end result (human casualty) will not.
