Acknowledge the contradiction between the branches of the federal gov. on the medicinal uses of cannabis and legalize.

The U.S. Federal Government as The Dept. of Health and Human Services owns U.S. Patent # 6630507 "Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants". The U.S. Federal Government as the Drug Enforcement Administration insists that "marijuana has no accepted medicinal use and should remain illegal under Federal law".
Please acknowledge this contradiction and act to either release the patent to an organization that does not contradict itself on the medical uses of cannabis, or reform Federal law to reclassify cannabis so that its medicinal properties may be further explored and implemented.
