All children are born from the womb of their mother. A man becomes a father through the love he shares with his wife. Thus, all children have the natural right to both a mother and a father. A mother and father play a vital role in the life of their child; that fact can not be understated. Through their example, a child will understand womanhood and manhood and model his or her behavior accordingly.
President Obama, I implore you to tread carefully as we march toward tipping mother/father/child off its pedistal in favor of elevating other forms of family structures. The family unit of a mother, father and child is the only family structure that provides the child with complete gender diversity. There is no replacement for a mother and father in the life of a child.
