Acknowledge the Existence of Elves

In Scandinavian countries throughout Europe, the existence of Elves is a matter of public record. It is widely understood that when the Vikings first came to the New World they brought with them the ancestors of modern American Elves. We believe that it is a mistake for the United States government to not officially acknowledge the existence of these invisible forest spirits, and that in failing to do so the future agricultural prosperity of our nation is being put in jeopardy. At the same time, we believe that it should be mandated in the curriculum of public schools that children be made to fear the Erl-King and his subjects. Elves should be recognized for the sapient beings they are, but they should never be trusted.
