Acknowledge that most Civil Rights leaders of the 1960's were Republicans, including Martin Luther King Jr.

Created by S.S. on January 21, 2013

The National Black Republican Association is an organization that promotes the Republican Party as a champion of Civil Rights and African-American issues. Most people do not realize today that many Civil Rights leaders were members of the Republican Party.

We urge the Obama administration to acknowledge the large role that the Republican Party has played in the advancement of Civil Rights for all Americans since the days of Reconstruction.
