In response to reports that the Obama Administration may ask the Pentagon to ready as many as 2000 troops for deployment to the Gaza Strip to aid Israeli forces in combat operations against forces hostile to the Israel and their deployed ground troops, the American people request that the current administration respectfully refuse to commit American Military Personnel in any ground operation taking place in the Middle East until such a time that those forces be used in enforcing a peace deal brokered and agreed upon by Israel and Hamas. This petition is requested by those Americans with the desire to achieve a lasting peace agreement ensuring a beneficial relationship between Palestinians and Israelis, and a further goal of preventing the loss of American lives in the Middle East.
