In light of the recent surge of citizens using the "We the People" platform to create petitions for states to secede from the Union, we request that the Obama administration inform petitioners that once the required number of signatures is reached, the only thing that happens is an official response is issued.
Specifically pertaining to the state secession petitions, we request that the Obama administration inform petitioners that no matter how many people sign said petition, it will not grant those states permission to secede from the Union.
We request that administrators of the "We the People" platform implement a more effective disclosure statement as to its purpose.
