New petitions are constantly created on this website in an effort to create democracy and speak the opinions of the people. But is it accomplishing anything? Every petition that reaches its number of signatures and then-some receives an ill-contrived attempt to soften the blow from the White House. They simply take all petitions, make a response saying "no" and move on. The White House needs to begin to acknowledge these petitions so the people can have a voice within our country.
