Second, the local economic benefits are overstated because the jobs are imported to natural gas regions, the costs for environmental impacts and clean ups are higher than anticipated, and many other industries will lose income due to the effects of fracking.
Third, environmental impacts like toxic chemical exposure, radioactivity, air pollution, and silicosis are much worse than anticipated.
Fourth, natural gas is worse for global warming than any other fossil fuel because methane has a higher green house gas potential than carbon dioxide for over 100 years.
