Acknowledge the threat of growing antibiotic resistance and institute an incentive for antibiotic research.

Created by W.O. on February 17, 2014

With the rampant use of antibiotics, bacteria have been pressured into evolving to survive. Because antibiotic drugs have been more or less the same since the 1960's, a resistance is slowly being built against these outdated antibiotics. If no action is taken, we could soon face a bacteria superbug that no antibiotic used today can fight. We, the American people, are asking that the Obama Administration acknowledge the possibility of this threat and pass legislation to incentivize antibiotic research. This is not an issue for a certain group of people, this issue affects the entire human race. The science suggests that if no meaningful action is taken, we will soon be pressured into evolving.
