Journalists have alleged that the CIA provided lists of communist sympathizers during Suharto's anti-communist purges of the mid-1960's, and that the U.S. had no recriminations of any sort against his regime after the killings were done. I would like there to be a clarification of the U.S.'s role in these large-scale mass-killings, if there was a role. If these allegations are true, I would like the President to acknowledge that providing aid to the killers was wrong, as was the lack of recriminations after the event. I would also like him to personally apologize to the families of the victims for the U.S.'s role in the victims' deaths.
