We urge the President to acknowledge the damage to society that movie, television and video game producers inflict on society by producing and profiting from extreme violence displayed in their productions under the guise of entertainment. Introduce legislation to fine these producers for each occurence of gun violence in their productions. Fine movie theater owners and television networks that choose to show gun violence in their theaters and on their networks. Fine video game manufacturers that produce video games with gun violence and fine retailers that choose to sell video games that include gun violence. Monies collected from fines can be used to support victims and families of gun violence victims.
