The government is one of, if not the, largest acquirers of vehicles also used by civilians -- such as cars, pickup trucks, vans, buses and similar.
The Administration should consider discontinuing the acquisition of such vehicles that are designed to be powered primarily or only by gasoline or diesel. Instead, the Administration should only acquire vehicles whose primary power source is an 'alternative' fuel, such as, but not limited to electricity, compressed natural gas, hydrogen, and similar.
This would create jobs in setting up the infrastructure for such fuels and drive demand of the auto industry for such vehicles. The result would be affordability and availability of such vehicles and fuels for all of We the People.
