act in response to Breed Specific Laws that discriminate by dog breed or breed characteristics.

Created by J.B. on March 19, 2013

A request for federal review of Breed Specific Legislation that discriminate against specific dog breeds or breed characteristics. These laws tend to be over-reaching in the power they grant law enforcement(ex. unprovoked seizure and extermination of said animals.) They have caused a great deal of anguish for people all over the nation, difficulty finding places to live for families with these animals, and extreme funding waste by state and local governments. The correct way to deal with the problem of vicious dogs would be more stringent laws for those that abuse animals and/or train them to be violent.
