act on Social Security reform to raise the resource limit from $2000 for individuals with disabilities to $4000 for SSI

Created by A.T. on December 13, 2012

According to my House of Representative, Judy Chu, the last time Congress did any serious Social Security Reform for people with disabilities and received SSI was in 1987. The current SSI resource limit for individuals is $2000.00/month and $3000.00 month for married couples. This resource/asset limit has not been adjusted since 1987 and has remained those values since 1987. Therefore, I request respectfully that the Obama Administration act on having Congress raise the resource limit for SSI recipeents as well as other Social Security programs to adjust to today's economy and time. 25 years later, we need reform.
