When this petition tool opened, it almost seemed too innovative. Unfortunately, my suspicions were confirmed. There are so many great ideas posted here by determined Americans that should be acted upon, considering they received the proper amount of votes required. Yet every time we turn on the TV, we never hear these arguments come up for more than a minute each. The airtime is instead saturated with political agendas that the PEOPLE did not ask for. I capitalize PEOPLE because we seem to have forgotten that this is a government of and by the PEOPLE.
