We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Action to stop the recoupment of enlistment bonuses given to Californian Guard members from ten years ago.

Created by D.A. on October 25, 2016

Thousands of guardsmen will have to return at least $15,000 per person, or more, after California National Guard officials were found guilty of mismanaging the program and submitting false claims. Audits show that 9,700 members had been improperly awarded the money. This is not any fault of the members receiving the bonuses and they should not be held liable for the repayment of said bonuses. This recoupment will cause extreme financial strife to members of the military that EARNED every penny they ever received.

This a call to Congress to make the repayment null and void and to make the Pentagon give back to each soldier what they have already collected against this travesty. These soldiers deserve more than what they did get and our government should stand behind them fully.
