Active duty and veterans of our military should automatically be allowed to carry loaded firearms anywhere and everywhere concealed or open. Most combat veterans are more qualified and experienced than most police officers, and police are allowed to carry even when off duty. Not only is it a right by the 2nd Amendment, it's a right that anyone who has served, has defended. Not only do active and veteran military have a right to defend civilians, it remains a moral and ethical obligation. Allowing all military and veterans the same rights as police officers would reduce crime, including mass shootings, and would allow quicker response to such crimes. Criminals will be forced to think twice considering they don't know who's a veteran out of uniform unless they check ID before they act.
