We, the American people, demand that the Government of the United States of America observe, censor, and control to any extent deemed necessary the activities of the Westboro Baptist Church. We must make it clear to ourselves and to the world that freedom of speech IS NOT freedom of hate. After the tragedy that was the cult of Jim Jones and the Jonestown mass suicide, our country cannot afford to allow extremist groups to continue down the same path. I and many others firmly believe that if the Westboro Baptist Church is allowed to protest the funerals of the children murdered in the Sandy Hook Massacre, violence will ensue. It is time for us as a nation to turn to you, the government, and exercise our right to pursue a course of action to limit this senseless hatred.
