We are currently witnessing abhorrent tragedies taking place in direct regards to the refugees fleeing Syria. Many governments are obstructing fundamental human rights according to the universal declaration of human rights, specifically article 3 and 14. We as a nation have the obligation to demand from our representatives to uphold not only our values but also the universal human rights by actively engaging in minimizing the tragedies taking place.
